It isn’t too long before Luke finds the curious beauty again, but he struggles to get her to confide in him about the danger that surrounds her. Unfortunately, matters are swiftly taken out of his hands when someone disappears, and several rather serious incidents happen which all point to Poppy being embroiled in one of London’s worst scandals. Before he can unravel the web of mysteries that surround her, he finds himself in a race for his life while trying to protect her from someone who wants her dead. Will his desire for her be strong enough to withstand the very sinister challenges that threaten to tear them apart? Or will trusting her bring about his downfall?

I purchased this book as I have read the star elite series and enjoyed them all. This Saved by Desire series continues apparently the work of the Star Elite but with different men. I am only giving this book three stars because the story was entertaining, but the heroine was not. She was afraid, and definitely not strong. She spent a fair amount of time giving herself pep talks. She questions herself and her decisions through most of the book. When Luke tells her he loves her she doesn't hear it she is so busy worrying what will happen next. I can't say she was whiney but she did not appeal to me. At all. There were the usual typos that have plagued this author's writing. I liked the story and all the characters except Poppy. To me that makes the book average, a three star.Product details

The premise was so poor and the actions taken by the
characters so silly that I gave up at 10%.
I always love Rebecca King's books. So full of action and adventure, they're hard to put down! )
Rebecca King has an excellent writer. As always she has combined adventure and love for an excellent outcome. I really enjoy reading about the Star Elite. Great read can,'t wait for her next book.
